ICTs for Effective Knowledge and Extension Delivery
“ICTs for Effective Knowledge and Extension Delivery” to sensitize the middle level functionaries of agriculture and allied departments .The programme was organized from 7 to 10 August 2018 where thirteen officers from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Odisha and Andaman & Nicobar islands. Dr.B.Jamuna Rani, Professor, EEI coordinated the workshop.
The Director EEI in his valedictory address on 10th August 2018 reiterated the crucial role the officers should play in information dissemination. To reach the unreached they must use their knowledge and wisdom in choosing the right tool for the right purpose. The trainees felt that all the sessions were informative ,interesting ,thought provoking . The Speakers drafted for the sessions were knowledgeable with good communication skills and made the sessions very interesting and useful. The programme helped the trainees that their knowledge , attitude and skills pertaining to availability and use of ICTs for information dissemination improved. The programme helped the trainees to develop fraternity and friendship and created an opportunity to share their valuable experiences. The participants in their feed back also shared that they were not aware of the concept of ICT before attending the training but this programme empowered them on ICT and its very crucial role in reaching the unreached. The course content and the experiential methodology adopted were found to be very useful and effective.
