I have never given thought of learning Yoga, as I was running in toes to manage both Home and Work. This training taught simple and easy, but very effective Yogas, less time consuming. So I believe I would do those Yogas even after I go back to my routine schedule. Time & Stress Management topics brought a New ME out.

Agriculture sector alone represents 23 per cent of India’s Gross National Product (GNP), plays a crucial role in the country’s development and shall continue to occupy an important place in the national economy. It sustains the livelihood of nearly 70% of the population. It seems obvious that any significant change in climate on a global scale will impact local agriculture, and therefore affect the world’s food supply. The problems of predicting the future course of agriculture in the changing world are compounded by the fundamental complexity of natural agricultural systems, and socio-economic systems governing the world food supply and demand. Changes in the temperature, solar radiation, and precipitation will have an effect on crop productivity and livestock agriculture. Keeping in view this need an Off-campus training programme on ‘Climate Smart Extension for Profitable Agriculture’ was conducted, to development officers of Tamilnadu from 25th-28th September 2018.
The programme was well organized with sessions on Climate Smart Extension for Profitable Agriculture: An Overview, Climate smart ITKs for Profitable Agriculture, Effects of climate change and Variability on Agriculture, Farmers Attitude and Adaptation Measures towards climate change, Communication Skills for Professional Excellence, Climate Resilient Technologies and Strategies and Contingency Planning to Cope up with Climate change

Experential Learning Methods & Management Games was Very Effective
VERY NICELY COMMUNICATED ALL THE MANAGEMENT GAMES
It was highly beneficial for professionals who deal directly with farmers. We learnt different techniques of training through lectures, activities, field visits and psychological games. The expertized speakers with great experience delivered the highest quality of training methods. We Vety. Officers (17-21st July, 18) of Karnataka actively demostrated the Clean Milk Production at Medipally village. We are now transformed into well versed training professionals. We acknowledge our sincere gratitude to our coordinator, expert speakers and our beloved Director of EEI, HYD.
This training provided for improvement in training skills and how to plan a training based on technical need assessment. Also we got to learn about the need of ice breaking activities to be done while conducting training and how it would be useful to farmers as it would provide for better interaction during extension activities. The most important thing I got from this training is motivation can be done by others but it cannot be done everytime, so it is very important to be self motivated and make decisions.
very refreshing and nice programme . we got an opportunity to interact with farmers , discussed with their problems faced regarding post harvest crop loss . so we demonstrated processing and value addition in horticulturte crops (i.e preparation of mixed fruit jam and also pusa zero energy cool chamber).
The training was refreshing as well as value adding in planning organising and imparting training to the target groups. It gave an insight in the relevance of changing the attitudes, mindset and thinking. The Yoga sessions in the morning was awesome and can be rated as a level 10 . Under hands on experience we demonstrated soil sampling procedure, in a role play method.
29th May to
2nd June 2018. Skills for Profitable Agriculture through Mechanisation: Ms. Ezhil, Agricultural Officer, trainee from Tamilnadu having hands on experience in running a weeder at CRIDA farm, Hyderabad
India ranks among the top countries in the world in production of a number of crops including rice, wheat, sugarcane, fruits and vegetables. However, despite this potential, two prime bottlenecks that have emerged and can become insurmountable problem in the foreseeable future are the stagnant productivity per hectare and shortage of agriculture labour. There is ample evidence which suggests that productivity improves dramatically with usage of more farm power. Indian farmer is fast adapting farm mechanisation than ever before. This is clearly evident as the Indian tractor industry has emerged as the largest in the world and accounts for 1/3 of total global production. Further the Government of India has been encouraging mechanisation through different policy interventions.
Keeping this in view, in order to make participants aware of various new implements and machinery suitable for farmers of different economic strata a five day on campus training programme on ‘Skills in profitable Agriculture through Mechanisation’ was organized from 29th May 2018 – 2nd June, 2018. Applications of Farm machinery in different sectors were essentially planned as a part of the training syllabi so that its relevance in field in understood by the trainees. The sessions were laced with several field visits in order to endow the participants with practical learnings on implements and machinery at CRIDA farm, Hayatnagar, Horticulture farm, Centre of Excellence, Jeedimetla and Best Engineering technologies, Kukatpally to break the monotony of academic environment and to give it a participatory approach.
The participants were given hands on training on the use of small implements during their visit to Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), Hyderabad.
During the valedictory programme, Dr. K. Madhubabu, Director, EEI mentioned that there is urgent need for all Extension workers to popularise new learning’s of this training i.e. information on new Farm Implements and Machinery in agriculture and allied sectors among rural people as there is acute shortage of labour in the rural areas. He thanked the participants for the positive feed back and assured that a relook shall be made into future trainings for incorporating the constructive suggestions given by the trainees.
During their feedback most of the participants expressed that this programme exposed them to various new implements and farm machinery which would be of use in their back home work places.
