I walked through a career journey of 25 years and gained experience of working in extension, administration ,teaching and training. I started my career as a Research Associate at MANAGE for three years. During this period I gained rural experience of working in Andhra Pradesh Training of Women in Agriculture Project wherein the team could assess training needs of farm women which formed the basis for formulation of training curriculum of training institutes. Another rich knowledge which was gained in the next step of my journey at MANAGE was in implementation of ‘Participatory Watershed Management’ in Telangana. I unlearnt various concepts in soil and water conservation & thus could facilitate farmers in community organization, participatory planning & implementation of participatory watershed programme. During this journey, I was engaged in field studies, data collection, analysis & reporting.
Having switched on gears, I joined as Assistant Professor in agricultural university in the year 1998 and put on service as associate editor of Journal of Research ANGRAU in the publication division of ANGRAU, wherein I could establish a fool proof procedure with definite timelines at each step of publication process. I have attended ten national conferences wherein I could bag one best paper award .I presented a paper in one International conference wherein I could bag best paper award.
I have about 50 research papers published in journals of national & international repute. As a principal investigator, I handled a project entitled ‘Empowerment of tribal women’ and proposed strategies for their empowerment. I have worked for about 11 years in teaching wherein I dealt with various courses, authored practical manuals at undergraduate & post graduate level.
I guided eight post graduate students. I conducted one faculty development programme on Orientation towards Entrepreneurship to the university faculty to facilitate in effective implementation of AELPprogramme for undergraduate students. Gears were switched on towards training as a profession during my career.
I joined in Extension Education Institute in 2018. I coordinated about 20 online,10 offline programmes & delivered sessions on lateral thinking skills, time management, goal setting, programmes of GoI in various sectors using various training methodologies. I have undergone training programme on ‘Direct trainers skills’ conducted by MCHRD which was composed by Thames Valley University, UK. I am selected as national facilitator for MANAGE.
